This years girls volleyball team is back and better than ever. The team has been working extra hard this season from long and tough days of practice to even harder days at camps.
The team consists of about twenty girls at open gyms right now coached by Brooke Weed and everyone is trying their best to prepare for try-outs.
The team recently attended a camp to enhance their skills as a team together. The camp was held at The Goldcrown Foundation. The event was sponsored by Metro State.
A totally of only eight girls went to the camp. The girls mainly did pool play with two matches per game. Each match was twenty-five minutes long.
Melissa Martinez states, “It was pretty touch, but it was also a lot of fun!”
They are hoping their hard work will pay off in their first game in late August.

The team has been selected. The parents night is tonight (Monday). The first scrimmage of the year will be against Thornton this Friday!!
Next week we have a scrimmage against Adams city on Thursday and our first game on Friday against Jefferson Academy.
All of these games are at home.
